Poetry on the Wall in Amsterdam

I recently got to visit Amsterdam (I house-swapped with a girl from Craigslist), which was fantastic. I found this wall with graffiti on it, which I thought was moving and rather profound. Here it is below:

The graffiti says: Colours turn grey/ Treasures erode before me…

Kind of gives me chills.

Edited to note: I googled this, and apparently others have taken note of this wall as well. It states it was done by “Amsterdam artist Laser 3.14”.

I looked up Amsterdam artist ‘Laser 3.14’, and found this page of an interview with him, which linked me to the artist’s page.

Isn’t the internet a beautiful thing? A few lines on a wall and now I can actually see his work.
